In Episode #2, our invited African Leaders of Tomorrow (ALT) alumni walk us through their journey implementing their knowledge and expertise to help advance the African education sector. All the way from Saskatchewan’s prairies to Sierra Leone’s savannah, these alumni have found a challenging yet enriching path towards a more inclusive, quality-based education for all.

Abdulai Benedict Conteh

Abdulai Conteh is a member of the 2017 ALT cohort and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Regina. Currently, he is a Project Manager for Education Partnership Group (UK) through which he leads the delivery of technical assistance (with a focus on policy development and implementation) to the Sierra Leone Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education.

Sulaiman Jalloh

Sulaiman Jalloh is a graduate of the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Regina and holds a Master of Public Administration. He also holds a graduate certificate in teaching and learning, a certificate in Public Management from the Mandela Washington Fellowship in the USA and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Sierra Leone. He has over five years of work experience in research, administration and management, monitoring and evaluation, gender and youth work. His current role is the District Support Officer for the Western Area Urban District in Sierra Leone. His work supports the system strengthening program activities for the Ministry of Basic Senior Secondary Education and Teaching Service Commission through a British Company called Mott Macdonald Limited.
